Neighbors to Leaders
From housing and health inequities to being the international ground zero for the climate crisis, Miami faces challenges that can only be solved through innovative thinking and community voices leading the way. That’s why we train residents on key issues that impact our communities, building a coalition of passionate advocates and activists who are changing the world around them from the ground up. Meet some of the grassroots leaders who have participated in our climate, housing and health justice programs.

Worker-Owned Enterprises Program
Worker-owned businesses are key to our future economy. They foster democratic ownership and develop wealth from the ground up to drive a more sustainable and equitable economy. Achieving a more worker-led economy will not only boost local and generational wealth, but also provide community-wide benefits and help safeguard the natural environment. Learn about the cooperatives that have participated in our Worker-Owned Enterprises Program and how you can get involved.
Small Business Support
When small businesses do well, our entire local economy thrives. Our small business support program began during the 2020 pandemic and has continued ever since. Meet some of the business owners we’ve had the pleasure of working with along their journey.
